Boeing's NxGen ATS - A Modern Test Solution for Commercial Avionics

In today’s highly competitive commercial airplane market, airplane manufacturers and avionics suppliers alike are focused on reducing the total cost of ownership for the end users – the airlines. Recognizing this, Boeing and Teradyne have entered into a partnership to provide the industry a modern automatic test solution that can support the testing requirements of today’s sophisticated new avionics.

As announced earlier this year, Boeing selected Teradyne to provide the industry with a flexible solution that supports previous generation avionics as well the industry’s next generation – such as those designs found on Boeing’s proposed 7E7 Dreamliner airplane. The Boeing Common Core Automatic Test System, manufactured and supported by Teradyne, will provide a modern cost-effective solution for the testing of avionics from multiple vendors and multiple aircraft models effectively consolidating and rendering obsolete numerous antiquated test systems currently in use throughout the industry.
