today announced that two of its divisions, Assembly
Test Division (ATD) and Teradyne Connection Systems
(TCS), are recipients of the 2002 Service Excellence
Awards presented this week at APEX, a major electronics
manufacturing trade show, in San Diego, CA.
Market research firm Technology Forecasters, Inc.,
and Circuits Assembly magazine co-sponsor the annual
awards, which recognize electronic manufacturing services
(EMS) companies, electronic assembly equipment suppliers,
and software companies demonstrating outstanding performance
in customer satisfaction. Awards are presented to companies
receiving the highest cumulative scores from their customers
in the following areas of service: dependability, manufacturing
quality, responsiveness to changes and requests, technology,
and value for the price.
Teradyne's Assembly Test Division received the Gold
Award for the highest rating in the repair and rework
category for electronic assembly equipment. Teradyne
Connection Systems received two awards recognizing the
EMS company for responsiveness to changes and requests,
as well as manufacturing quality.
Accepting the award at the APEX conference for the
Assembly Test Division were Michael A. Gildea, National
Support Manager for the Americas, and Don Naugler, Product
Manager, Rework Systems. Dale Sandford, Operations Manager,
Mexico Manufacturing, accepted the awards for Teradyne
Connection Systems.
