BOSTON--Aug. 13, 2003--Teradyne, Inc. (NYSE:TER) announced that the U.S. Government's General Services Administration (GSA) awarded its Assembly Test Division a five-year contract on June 19. Teradyne's GSA contract is with the Information Technology Group, GSA Group 70. The contract number is GS-35F-0712N.

"An increasing number of our customers in the Department of Defense require GSA schedules in order to procure Automatic Test Systems," said Carl Rosenblatt, military-aerospace business unit manager, Teradyne, Assembly Test Division. "Teradyne obtained the GSA contract in order to reduce the time, complexity, and costs associated with procuring Teradyne test products by our customers in the DoD."

Rosenblatt continued, "Advantages for our customers include reduced acquisition costs, reduced paper work to get orders placed, and reduced cycle time on order placement. In addition, customers are assured of getting most favored customer pricing."
