unveiled two new products that further its presence as
a leader in providing manufacturing optimization solutions
for printed circuit board (PCB) manufacturers. GenRad’s
launch of these hardware and software products reaffirms
the Company’s commitment to assisting its customers
meet time-to-market, time-to-volume and time-to-profit
challenges in today’s ever-changing world of electronics.
GR TestStation™
GR TestStation is an all real pin production test
system, allowing the simultaneous use of all tester
resources at every test point on a board. Time-to-market
requirements were one of the factors that drove the
development of GR TestStation. With its all real architecture,
this newest member of the GR228X family allows users
to build fixtures as soon as the design information
is available, reducing test development time. GR TestStation
also allows the manufacturer to quickly implement engineering
change orders (ECOs) into the process. Additionally,
GR TestStation accepts fixtures and programs from other
test system manufacturers.
GR Producibility Analyzer
GR Producibility Analyzer is design software for the
PCB manufacturing process. By incorporating site-specific
data regarding the machines which make up a customer’s
manufacturing line, GR Producibility Analyzer checks
a board’s design for potential problems that may
arise during manufacturing. Any potential problems found
can be corrected in the design phase, reducing the manufacturer’s
rework costs.
