| Westford,
MA -- June 30, 1999 -- Today, GenRad, Inc. (NYSE:GEN)
introduced the CIMBridge 3.6 Fuji CCIMF Machine Program
Generator (MPG) that allows electronics manufacturers
to program Fuji surface mount (SMT) assembly equipment
through the FujiCAM operator’s kit. The CIMBridge
solution eliminates the need for the additional expense
and related process steps of a programmer’s kit
while maintaining the user’s flexibility to choose
best-in-class, heterogeneous equipment to suit their manufacturing
requirements. CIMBridge’s Fuji CCIMF MPG provides
CCIMF support for the Fuji IP, CP, NP and QP series of
modular SMT equipment, by providing translation to the
CCIMF file format and sending it directly to the Fuji
equipment.
