(NYSE:GEN) today announced at NEPCON West the introduction
of GR Alchemist III, general purpose software for performing
CAD data preparation activities across all of GenRad's
software and hardware products. The Alchemist III integrated
development environment includes importers for all major
CAD Design Systems, an automated Bill-Of-Materials data
importer, a rules-based data enhancement engine, a graphical
data editor, probe placement analysis software for in-circuit
and flying probe testers and file generators for specific
target machine outputs.
GR Alchemist III also includes an all-new full function
board/schematic viewer that can display component, signal,
testpin and property information. Intelligent label
matching features enable simultaneous viewing of selected
information in both board and schematic views. These
features enable test developers and repair operators
to rapidly locate failing components on their board
and schematics.
The GR Alchemist III product will be packaged with
GenRad’s GR Navigate (for GR228X and TestStation),
GR Pilot, GR Viper, CIMBridge, and Producibility Analyzer
products. The software modules are also available separately.
