Long term goal: Professionally, to continue managing challenging projects with increasing complexity to resolve customers' needs and market demands. Personally, to finish an Ironman Triathalon (2.4-mile swim, 112-mile cycle, 26.2-mile marathon) by 2015.

How would you describe your career path to reach your current position?
Having a Mechanical Engineering degree as my background, I started working for Teradyne as a Manufacturing Engineer supporting the Printed Circuit Board manufacturing division (Foundry). Over the span of 14 years, I have moved up from manufacturing engineer to project management in the Operations and Engineering divisions, collecting a wealth of knowledge and expertise not only in manufacturing, but also in hardware and software designs.

Why did you choose to work at Teradyne?
Teradyne designs excellent products and offers challenging projects to manage. There are many opportunities to move and work on different things within the company and we have a very supportive management team who encourages us to try something new.

What is most challenging about your job?
The integration of engineering design, quality/test, marketing and operations functions. We have rapidly changing industry and customer requirements and we need to smartly manage the trade-offs to be flexible enough to manage these requirements, while still conforming to our high quality standards.

What do you find most rewarding about your job?
It's most rewarding when a project is finished and we receive positive feedback from satisfied customers.

How do you think the people at Teradyne differ from those you might find in other companies?
We have very smart people here at Teradyne who are passionate about their field of expertise, yet are always willing to listen to feedback from others. Teradyners respect the value of teamwork and understand the importance of all members' input in order to deliver a strong product.

How you view the corporate culture?
Teradyne has a very good corporate culture. I love how we have an open door policy and everyone is willing to stop whatever they are doing to help anyone who needs it. Teradyne also has a very flexible work schedule and the company respects the need to balance work with our personal demands outside of the office.
