TUG Steering Committee

Dear TUG Member:

The pre-planning work for the Teradyne Users Group 2009 conference is almost behind us. Abstracts have been accepted and the TUG 2009 Program is available.

After the upcoming conference in May, TUG members will vote via an e-mail survey for the 2010 Steering Committee. New members, together with current members, will work with Teradyne delegates to plan TUG 2010, scheduled for Hilton Head, SC, USA.

Now is your chance to nominate a colleague, or yourself
. Please send your nominations by April 6, 2009. You may nominate a licensed Teradyne user for any Steering Committee position. Voting will take place in June 2009.

What does the Steering Committee do?
The TUG Steering Committee meets monthly from July through April, via telephone conference calls, planning the meeting promotion, logistics, and programs for the following year. During these months, program teams work together to solicit abstracts and papers for their individual sessions and report their progress each month.

In early December, with abstracts in hand, the Steering Committee meets at the selected TUG location to finalize the logistics and program for the conference. The TUG Chair and Vice Chair work with the Secretary/Treasurer to coordinate special program projects, and to assist and coordinate the work of the Special Interest Group (SIG) Chairs. The SIG Chairs represent specified product groups and markets, and with the assistance of Teradyne delegates, plan the program sessions.

Serving on the TUG Steering Committee affords the opportunity to work closely with Teradyne on the technical program and to network with your peers and colleagues in a non-competitive environment.

There are six Program Sessions at TUG: Five in the Semiconductor Test area and one in the Assembly Test, Defense and Aerospace area. Please note that the five market segment sessions for Semiconductor Test are: Digital, Mixed Signal, Power Management/Automotive, Test Infrastructure and Production, and RF Wireless. Please select the one or two programs you are most intested in when you make a nomination. There will be a customer representative (SIG Chair) for each of the program sessions.

Please contact us with any questions about our experience as a 2008 Steering Committee member. You can send email through the TUG website at http://www.teradyne.com/prods/tug/steering.html.

We hope you will participate in TUG 2009.

Sincerely,

Johnny Steck
Chair, 2009 TUG Steering Committee
