Paper and Presentation materials must be submitted electronically before March 20, 2009.
Deadline is March 20, 2009.
Submission guidelines
Follow the guidelines below to submit your paper(s) and presentation(s).
What do I submit? (top)
Only electronic files of your paper(s) and/or your presentation(s) slides will be accepted. For your convenience, you may download the PowerPoint and Word templates with the required specifications.
Release Form - This form must be faxed to the TUG office at 978-370-2910, or a pdf with a digital signature may be submitted through the submission website.
First, make sure you have the submission information email sent to each author with the assigned Title, Username, and Password.
Submit an electronic copy of your paper in Microsoft Word format. Use a 0.5 (one-half) inch border on all sides of your Word document. Submit an electronic copy of your presentation in Microsoft PowerPoint. If you include animation in your PowerPoint presentation, prepare and submit a second file as well WITHOUT animation. This file will be converted to pdf. All graphics included in Word and PowerPoint documents should be embedded in the presentations. Do not send graphics as separate linked files. Use only the standard fonts in Word and PowerPoint and keep formatting to a minimum. Recommended font for the body text is Arial. Recommended font for headline text is Arial Bold. Read the Microsoft instructions for Reducing the file size of pictures in PowerPoint.
Create a title page for both PowerPoint and Word files. Include the names, titles, and company affiliations for all authors on the title page. The information on the title page(s) is used to create the search index. If you do not have a title page that lists the name(s), title(s), and affiliation(s) for author(s), Adobe Acrobat cannot index your documents.
How do I submit? (top)
Submit to the site defined in the email with your assigned title, username, and password. If you do not have this information, contact Donna McNeill at donna.mcneill@teradyne.com.
As always, we appreciate early submissions.
When you prepare your paper and presentation materials, please comply with all of the instructions and specifications. If you have any questions, email Donna McNeill at donna.mcneill@teradyne.com.
What about AV equipment? (top)
Note: This year, the question of AV equipment applies only to the Defense & Aerospace program. The Semiconductor Test program will be presented as a webcast. For those who will present for the Semiconductor Test program, a Teradyne representative will contact you to set up a time to record your session.
For the Defense & Aerospace program, the session room will have an LCD projector and screen. We will put all presentations on a USB Pen Drive held by the SIG Chair or Teradyne Delegate. This saves time changing laptops. All speakers are required to bring their presentations on a pen drive. If you need other equipment (VCR, slide projector, etc.), please email Lindsey Drummey by April 10, 2009. For your convenience, we will provide a speaker-ready room from Monday evening through Wednesday afternoon. Check at the TUG registration desk for availability.
