NORTH READING, MA – April 10, 2007 – Teradyne, Inc. (NYSE: TER), a world leader in high efficiency, low-cost test, has received a Texas Instruments (TI) 2006 Supplier Excellence Award. The award, given annually, honors companies whose dedication and commitment in supplying products and services meets TI’s high standards for excellence. Also in 2006, TI Japan installed its first production FLEX system in Miho.

“The competitive demands of TI’s global business require excellence from its supply chain, and the Supplier Excellence Award recognizes only the highest performing suppliers,” said Rob Simpson, VP Worldwide Procurement and Logistics, Texas Instruments. “Teradyne contributes greatly to the success of TI, and we thank them for their commitment.”

The FLEX Test Platform’s next generation architecture provides the test technology and economics that are key to profitability and wide market coverage. This unique test architecture offers four core capabilities: the highest efficiency multisite test that nearly eliminates test time overhead, the broadest technology coverage enabled by a suite of high-density instrumentation, IG-XL(TM) interactive software with the fastest programming time for multisite test and OpenFLEX(TM), an open platform architecture for specialized test requirements.

“Receiving the Supplier Excellence Award from TI twice in the past three years is a great accomplishment and demonstrates the value customers place on our dedication to continuous improvement,” said Ty Akin, TI Worldwide Sales Manager for Teradyne. “Teradyne is committed to working with TI to create the ultimate production test solution that yields technical and economic advantages.
